29 days and counting until the official launch of the Forgotten Flix blog, a place where I will be waxing poetic (okay, maybe not “poetic,” but I will occasionally use iambic pentameter) about movies both old and new, trying to increase awareness of those diamonds (and cubic zirconia) in the rough that the popular culture never noticed, or has subsequently forgotten.
But until that glorious Halloween day arrives, I’ll be posting regularly to keep you from assuming this is another one of those “started it, but never did anything with it” endeavors. These preview posts will include useless, er, fascinating movie-related trivia, mentions of movie reviews I’m writing, trips to the Forgotten Flix Mall Twin (a time traveling movie theater located deep within my own scrambled psyche), and, hopefully, many of your comments.
Nope, this will not be just another blog that tapers off. This is something more folks. It’s more than a movie review site (although it is that). It’s more than a personal blog (it’s that too). It’s even more than a place to find articles related to pursuing your own passions, which is what I’m doing by starting it. It’s my hope that it will become a community, a place where film fans of all stripes and predilections can share in the conversation.
Until next time, remember, a flick is only forgotten if you’re not talking about it!
