In 1972, playwright Richard Collier is celebrating the debut of one of his plays. At the party, he’s approached by an old woman, who places a pocket watch in his hand, and begs him to “Come back to me”.

8 years later, while suffering from writer’s block, he decides to get out of town and takes a room at the beautiful old Grand Hotel. At the hotel he sees an old photograph of a gorgeous actress by the name of Elise McKenna, and feels strangely drawn to her.

When investigating her, he finds out that she was the old woman who approached him 8 years ago, and he decides to, somehow, get in contact with her!
