Two men enter, one man leaves (or woman, of course).
And with that, I announce the First Forgotten Flix Six Degrees Tournament!
Each week you will be invited to submit your entries of the fastest or most creative links between two actors/actresses/characters to an independent judging panel, that will be known as The Star Chamber going forward.
Each week you will receive a score. The person with the highest cumulative score after the 11 week tournament (June 27-September 5) will be given a prize so spectacular that members of The Star Chamber may want to keep it for themselves.
However, here’s the catch:
We need at least ten entrants in order to make it worth it. So take the next few weeks to start recruiting your friends and family and email me at Dave@forgottenflix.com to enter.
Since we have a few more weeks of warm ups, Thunderdome had me thinking about actors who got beaten to hell in the finales of 80’s action movies.
So take us from Mel Gibson (Lethal Weapon 1 was brutal) to Bruce Willis (John McClain vs. the guy from The Money Pit).

Dave Umbricht loves his family, movies and the NBA (in that order). His unexplainable, genetic attraction to movies flourished in the early ’80s thanks to Siskel and Ebert. It’s also believed Dave was the only 8-year-old to know of My Dinner with Andre, even though he didn’t see it until he was 28. In the ’90s he wrote three awful screenplays, including next summer’s Cowboys and Aliens (or at least a script with the same title). He still can’t dunk a basketball.
