Synopsis: Young Scotty Smalls moves to a new town with his mom and stepdad, a couple of weeks before school is out for the summer! All he wants is to make new friends, and learn how to play baseball. The local kids play on an empty sandlot with a high fence, behind which, a mythical dog named The Beast, lives! One of the kids, Benny, kind of takes Smalls under his wings, and invites him to join himself, and the other sandlot kids for a game… And this is the start of a summer where the kids find themselves gawking at girls at the local pool, throwing up on the fun-fair rides, beating the rival team, and finally facing The Beast in a daring mission to retrieve a valuable baseball!
