RMG 063: The Day of the Dolphin (1973)

April 12, 2017

In this episode, the Retro Movie Geek crew are joined by guest co-host Dave Umbricht and we’re geeking out over The Day of the Dolphin (1973) and

  • Pha Love Pa (aka talking Dolphins)
  • suspense (or the lack thereof)
  • Dolphins trained to kill
  • and much, much more!

Dr. Jake Terrell, and his wife, Maggie, have been taking care of a dolphin named Alpha, since it was little. At their research center they’ve been studying Alpha and mainly his way of communicating… secretly they’ve also taught the dolphin how to understand, and speak English!! With a very limited vocabulary, of course!!

When this comes to the attention of the Foundation (the guys who pay the bills), they want to use the dolphin for their own nefarious matters. They kidnap Alpha, and his mate, and now it’s up to Dr. Terrell, and his team, to get to them in time to stop the dolphins from carrying out the Foundation’s shady, and deadly, agenda!
