Synopsis:

In this contemporary thriller, Clint Eastwood plays the popular California disc jockey, Dave Garver. On his radio show, he repeatedly receives a phone request to “Play Misty for Me” from a feminine voice. Garver meets the owner of this mysterious voice, Evelyn Draper, at a night spot he frequents. Unsuspectingly, he takes her home with him, and there the terror begins.

When Garver rejects Evelyn, she becomes more infatuated with him, and violent towards him, and his girlfriend Tobie. Garver’s life and love become entangled with Evelyn’s madness, which eventually strikes close to his heart in a frenzied, suspenseful conclusion.
