2020 Spooky Flix Fest – The Company Of Wolves (1984)

October 21, 2020

In this episode, the Retro Movie Geek crew is joined by author Tyson Hanks (check out more from Tyson HERE), and they’re geeking out over The Company Of Wolves (1984) and

  • dream logic
  • artsy fartsy werewolves
  • budding sexuality
  • stories within stories
  • and much, much more!

Synopsis:

With a unique style that has been called ”wonderfully wicked”, “evocative and arresting”, and “far beyond An American Werewolf In London and Wolfen”, The Company Of Wolves is a flight of horror fancy, bathed in explicit sexual imagery, punctuated with nightmarish special effects and destined to become a modern classic!

Beware the woods! There, the wise old Granny weaves her vivid tales of folklore and fantasy. There, witches and wolves mix with reality in her granddaughter Rosaleen’s adolescent dreams, stirred by passion and foretelling the fate of all young girls who stray from the forest path.

Meet the creatures of the night. Witness their fantastic transformations. Come to Granny’s house… in The Company Of Wolves.
