February 2, 2022

In this episode, the Retro Movie Geek crew is geeking out over A Patch Of Blue (1965) and

  • the legend that is Sidney Poitier
  • how dark the movie is
  • tolerance
  • going from racism to boobies
  • and much, much more!

Accidentally blinded by her mother Rose Ann at the age of five, Selina spends the next 13 years sheltered and confined to their tiny apartment.

One day at the park, she meets a kindly gentleman, Gordon, who opens her up to the world around her. But when Rose Ann learns of their relationship, she forbids Selina to see him because he is black.
