Dave Umbricht loves his family, movies and the NBA (in that order). His unexplainable, genetic attraction to movies flourished in the early ’80s thanks to Siskel and Ebert. It’s also believed Dave was the only 8-year-old to know of My Dinner with Andre, even though he didn’t see it until he was 28. In the ’90s he wrote three awful screenplays, including next summer’s Cowboys and Aliens (or at least a script with the same title). He still can’t dunk a basketball.

Now, for this one, I’m assuming we’re linking characters BY WAY OF actors who appeared with them in films (because, honestly, I have NO CLUE how to link these two using ONLY film characters).
So here goes:
One of Jason Voorhees’ victims in FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER was a character named Jimmy Mortimer, played by Crispen Glover. Glover had a small role in DEAD MAN, which starred Johnny Depp. Depp, in turn, had a small role in Oliver Stone’s PLATOON, which starred everybody;s favorite madman, Charlie Sheen. Sheen was also in another Stone movie, WALL STREET, (which gets me “through” David Byrne, since Byrne’s song with Brian Eno, “AMERICA IS WAITING” was used in the film) alongside Daryl Hannah, who played the title character in ROXANNE which starred Steve Martin. Steve Martin played a waiter in 1979’s THE MUPPET MOVIE, which was the big-screen debut of most of (if not all) the Muppets, including Animal.
I couldn’t shake the feeling that there’s a closer connection than this floating around out there, but what the hell?

I’ve been racking my brains about this allweek trying to do it via fictional bits and bobs… I’ve got as far as Jason Vorhees was in Freddy Vs Jason With Freddy Krueger, who was in Freddy’s new nightmare with Wes Craven playing himself, as he did in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Then it all falls apart and I can’t do characters, however… Mark hamill played Cocknocker in Jay adn Silent Bob, and obviously he was in star Wars with Frank Oz, who had his hand up Animal’s backside… no clue about Mr byrne though!
Hell, that’s pretty impressive! I gave up on characters (as you can see above), but I think you got it!

Ah, I see, Senor Volke. It’s weird though when you have seen as many hoorrr films as I have the second half is still as refreshing as the first. But I totally get your point.
