Take a stroll with us back to the Armchair Theater video store.
You know the one.
It’s where you went with mom or dad or whoever lugged you to the strip mall on a Saturday afternoon. Join us as we help you remember the movies you always wanted to see, but never did. Or maybe you did and forgot all about them.
Regardless, that video store is now memory lane, so travel back with us as we pluck a title from the shelf and ask, do you remember…?
After escaping an insane asylum, Dr. Evan “Giggles” Rendell returns to his home town of Moorehigh. 35 years earlier, Dr. Rendell his father, Dr. Rendell, Sr. were conducting “experiments” on the townspeople of Moorehigh. They were removing their hearts in an effort to resurrect Dr. Rendell, Sr.’s deceased wife.
However, when the people of Moorehigh discovered the horrors that were going on in the Rendell home, they formed a mob, captured the elder doctor and stoned him to death. His son, known as “Dr. Giggles” because of his high-pitched, maniacal laugh, escaped.
But now he’s returned to exact his revenge for the death of his father. And in true late ’80s, early ’90s fashion, this psycho was hoping for a franchise! There are more puns in Dr. Giggles than bloodletting, but if you’re looking for a campy, goofy, over-the-top good time, get down to the Armchair Theater video store.
There may be a copy or two left on the new release shelf.
